Terry Dunaway Obituary

Terry E. Dunaway

Terry E. Dunaway, age 60, died November 18, 2008 after a brief illness.

He was born in Akron and was a lifetime area resident.

Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marie Gabriel Dunaway, he is survived by daughter, Jessica (Gilbert) Dunaway, her mother, Janie; grandchildren, Madison and Mason, all of Akron; and brother, Jacques (Pam) Dunaway of Uniontown.

He was a long time valued employee of Lockheed Martin and Goodyear Aerospace, serving in the transportation and shipping departments.

Terry had graduated from Garfield High School later earning several Associate Degrees from the University of Akron. While in the Army from 1968 thru 1970 he served overseas in Germany as a communication specialist.

Terry was very sociable, eager to please, and well liked by all who knew him. He was always busy, but in recent years he took time from his many chores to enjoy Sunday morning Sailboat Racing with Portage Lakes Yacht Club members.

Cremation has taken place. Fr. Edward Burba will officiate at a memorial service on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St.), where friends may call one hour prior to service time. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
