Vicky Cart Obituary
Vicky L. Cart, 53, of Akron, passed away April 21, 2004, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 26, 1950, in Barberton, Ohio. Vicky was a volunteer with the Chapparells Baton & Drum Corps for 20 years. She was a very giving person who was loving to all, with a tremendous devotion to her grandchildren, who were the highlight of her life. The most special time for her was watching her grandchildren opening their Christmas presents and sitting in a sea of wrapping paper. To her, this was what life was all about.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Donald W. Cart of Akron; mother, Carol M. Cullen of Akron; daughters, Christina (Eddie) Redman and Lisa (Dan) Kazlman, both of Akron; son, Scott (Angee) Cart of Barberton; grandchildren, Dusten, Devin, Dominic, Jenna, Alexis, Mikaela, and Landrey; sisters, Cheryl (Chuck) Blasdel of Akron and Shari Cullen of Stow; brothers, Tim and Tom Cullen, both of Akron; mother-in-law, Evelyn Kopp of Akron; very dear friends, Russ and Car ol Allrutz of Lakeland, Fla.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where fu neral services will be held Mon day at 10 a.m., with Rev. Scott Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

It's May 1st and this terrible news just reached me! "Cheryl,Tom,Sherry,you just dont realize how often I have thought of you all! I feel such pain in my heart over this. Our lives all went in different directions, and the miles kept us apart! But "Vicky & Cheryl" were the sisters I never had and those years between 55'~68' just dont go away! Please contact me Cheryl! I remember Vicky as a fun friend to hang with while I lived on Cross Street and her and Cheryl on Cross Ct. I've been in Texas for 25 years and have lost touch with many of the people that I grew up with. But I still remember them. My prayers will be with the big family that she left behind. It sounds like she had a full life and that is a gift in itself.

To all the family members of Vicky Cullen-Cart you have my deepest sorrow for your lost. Vicky was an old school friend form elementary school-high school. I shall include you all in my prayers.
Wow Vicky was with me on my wedding day too! Camera's now take better pictures than what ours did! I will miss you my dear friend! I have been taking a walk back through time all day!

So sorry to hear about Vicky. I worked at the same daycare where she made the best grilled cheese sandwich ever! (To this day I make mine in the oven.)I'm sure you will have much to smile about when you think about her. May God comfort you all at this time.

What can one say at a time like this except I am VERY sorry to hear that my childhood friend is gone! I have lots of memories! from the time we were 2 or 3 till I got married and moved from Akron Vicky and I were best friends but miles separated us I am sorry to say! My deepest sympathy to you... Donnie Chris, Lisa and Scott you and your families will be in my prayers in the days and months to come! Lean on the man with the BIG strong arms "Jesus" when things get tough he will see you through! Really!
