Lisa Wolford Obituary

CROWN CITY — Lisa Ann Wolford, 53, of Crown City, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Born on August 27, 1965 in Gallipolis, Lisa was the daughter of the late Truman Junior and Judith Ann Shafer Wolford. Lisa worked for various local businesses, including Brown Insurance Agency, Electrocraft, and Bladen Landing. She graduated from Hannan Trace High School and attended Providence Missionary Baptist Church. Lisa loved to cook.

Lisa is survived by her brother, James (Tara) Wolford of Crown City; sister, Jennifer Burgess of Chillicothe; grandmother, L. Grace Saunders Shafer of Crown City; nieces, Taylor (Seth) Carpenter, Jayla Wolford, Whitney Burgess, and Kristin Burgess; great nephews, Jaymie Burgess and Jaxson Burgess; great niece, Madelyn Shaw; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The funeral service for Lisa Wolford will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in King's Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday prior to the service from noon -1 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Todd "Gumby" Condee, Jeff Fowler, Jack Angel, Tim Clary, Justin Shafer, and Daniel Shafer.
