Because of Hue & Loris we have the nicest son in law in the world! When Doug joined our family we were blessed by the friendship of his family too. Working with Hue at the tackle shows on several occasions was a trip to remember. Hue had more energy than anyone can ever imagine. We will miss him. Our prayers go out for Loris and family in this time of sorrow.

Loris and family,
I have really enjoyed getting to know you, just wish I would have met the family and certainly HUE earlier in my life. What a fun family!! You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Dear Loris, Patti, David, Peggy and Doug:
I am so sorry to hear about Hue. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Spending the night at your house was always a wonderful time. I will always remember going out to the shop where the styroform figures were made. It was so fun for me. And having McDonalds cheeseburgers at your home when I would spend the night. Those are some memories I will never forget and cherish. Please know that I am thinking of you all at this time.
My love and prayers to you all.

Since 1984, I've only missed working one OKC Tackle Show. One of the best parts of working the show isn't getting to see all the new rods and reels, or what the latest and greatest new bass lure is.
A really neat thing about the tackle show is getting to see Hue and Loris and many of the same friends and exhibitors year after year. It's a little like an extended "family reunion" every year, and I attribute most of that to Hue. Always smiling with a warm handshake, always upbeat about some "new twist" for that year's show; always eager to lend a hand or fix whatever problem someone ran into.
In many ways, the Tackle Show was and is a "right of passage" that kicks off Oklahoma's fishing season. Sure the weather in February can be nasty, but it seems like the years when it was the worst, we had the best crowds. I think Hue knew that.
Fishermen start getting "cabin fever" at about that time of year, so the OKC Tackle Show is the perfect "Tonic" to get people excited about fishing.
Certainly, I hope the show goes on, but it won't be quite the same without Hue jogging around making sure everyone has everything they need.
Oklahoma anglers have lost a good friend in Hue Wiersig.
