I remember the first time that I met Rita. I had met Janie and asked her out on a date. But before that could happen I had to meet her parents, mainly her dad to get approval. After the introductions and small talk the first thing Rita asked,"Would you like a glass of iced Tea?" She never missed an opportunity to serve, whether it was in a Church, at her job or mainly in her home. I remember Sunday dinner's and those fantastic chocolate pies. Rita was more than just a mother-in-law to me, she was my second mom. I will miss her deeply but I know that I will see her again one day. I love you Rita.

I didn't visit with Aunt Rita like I would have liked to but, I did visit not long ago and had such a wonderful visit. We went to Burger King and had a burger and talked and laughed a lot. I will miss her letters at Christmas.

"I have so many unforgetable memories of Grandma, most of which that she loved ALL of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren unconditonally." I remember growing up wanting to go over to Grandma and Grandpa's house all the time, often times begging Mom and Dad to go over there. A lot of good old fashioned country home cooking went on at Grandma's house and it was the best money could'nt buy because Grandma would make you anything that you want... as long as you didn't waste it, and even then Grandpa would be happy to finish up. I will miss her dearly. I love you Grandma, say hello to Grandpa for me.

I have so many wonderful memories with Aunt Rita that I will cherish as long as I live. The several trips I and Aunt Novella made to Oklahoma City to see Aunt Rita and the last couple of years with Alta were so enjoyable! She made us welcome in her home, insisted on cooking breakfast for us each time and spent many hours telling us stories of her and her sisters (my mother included). She loved talking about her family, too, all of her grandkids and then the great ones. She was a wonderful lady whom I loved and I will miss her very much. Love to all of you, Katrina, Janie and Phil and to your families, my prayers are with you.

Many fond memories of my youngest Aunt. I remember as a youngster staying with Aunt Rita and Uncle Silas along with Robert Wayne . It was really our first overnite in the city. It made a great impression on me, as did thier visits to Mustang Church. And visist to the family often in Aubrey. She was a GRAND LADY and set a great example for all us. God will surely recieve her well and bestow his everlasting love on her.
