August 18, 1925 - March 27, 2017 SHAWNEE Mildred Juanita (Jackson) Price, 91, of Shawnee, OK, was called home to be with The Lord in the late evening of March 27, 2017. She was born August 18, 1925, in a cabin near Russett, OK, to the late George W. and Lindsay (Smith) Jackson. Mildred was the 5th eldest of 12 children. From the age of 6, she attended Carter Seminary, Ardmore, OK, until graduating ninth grade, attended Tishomingo High School for 2 years, and graduated from Chilocco Indian Agricultural School with the Class of 1943. Mildred was proud of her Chickasaw Heritage and passed that pride on to her family. She was married for 60 years to Richard B. Price until his passing in 2008. Mildred was an amazing homemaker with a strong will, good character, and was a role model to us all. Mildred was a kind and loving matriarch of her large family, which was first and foremost in her life. Her deep personal relationship with Christ was the guiding principle in her life. Her natural empathy and compassion for others lead her to a life of service to everyone she met. Mildred always made you feel special, whether she knew you or not, by always putting herself last. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Price; daughter, Randi Almo; grandson, Bryan Chebon; 4 sisters; and 3 brothers. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Donna Norton & husband, Wilson, and Terri Ashworth & husband, Skip; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Selena Jones, Davalyn Long, Jim Jackson, John Jackson, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Willetta Price; and a host of nieces, nephews and her life-long friends. Funeral Services are 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Glorieta Baptist Church, located at 7308 S. Western Ave., OKC, OK. Interment will follow to Resthaven Memory Gardens, SW 104th & Walker in OKC. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home, 120 S. Broadway, Moore, OK.
