Norman Landry Obituary

Norman was a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend who passed away Friday, April 8, 2005 while holding his wife's hand. He loved life, brought joy, laughter, and happiness. He was a native of Baton Rouge, LA, a retired hotel worker and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Norman is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Betty Ruth Landry; daughters, Norma Jean Payne, Linda Maxine Henderson; one son, Bruce Landry; one brother, Earl Landry; three sisters, Yoland Mortiz, Idola Ball, and Mazy Rodgers, nine grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lloyd and Herbert; sisters, Verna Anderson and Ethel Landry; and one son, Eddie J. Landry. Rosary services will be held 7:00 P.M., Monday, April 11, 2005 in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at St. James Catholic Church with interment following in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
