July 30, 1931 - Nov. 10, 2016Roger Sherman Erickson, 85, died Nov. 10, 2016. He was born on July 30, 1931, in Madison, MN to Thea and Elmer Erickson. He grew up on a farm, attended Madison High and graduated in 1948. He attended St. Olaf College for two years, then graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in pharmacy in 1954. He joined the Air Force, where he spent time in Korea. After returning to Kirtland Air Force Base in 1956, he met the love of his life, Dorothy Paulson. They married in 1958. Their oldest son, Mark, was born in California in 1959. They returned to New Mexico, where the youngest son, John, was born in 1961. They eventually moved to Oklahoma City in 1965 and remained there. He was a member of the Church of the Servant, where he sang in the choir and was active in Mobile Meals. He loved the game of golf. His greatest joys were his three granddaughters, Brittany, Kelley, and Bailey Erickson. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Dorothy; sons, Mark & wife Catherine and John & wife Lisa; and his three granddaughters. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Services will be on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 11 a.m. at Church of the Servant, Chapel of the Cross.
