Give rest, O Lord, to the soul of thy servant, Benjamin, where there is no pain, no sorrow, but life everlasting.

I so wish I had met Benjamin, but I did get to know him a little through his dad. Hugh and I spoke of our connection to Augusta, Georgia, and Culpeper, Virginia. I cherish my friendship with Hugh, my D. A. Davidson financial advisor. My heart is torn apart to hear of Benjamin's passing. I pray for Hugh, Jayme, Mason, Noah, and the family and friends who loved Benjamin. Eternal Memory.

Hugh and Jayme.
My dear friends...
I know that in this moment all you want is privacy and respect for your loss, but I just really want to share this with you.
When my father died I was immensely sad but a good friend shared this and made feel a little better.
I'll just translate it for you, it goes like this:
"FOR THOSE I LOVED AND THOSE WHO LOVED ME"
When my time to fly comes..., please let me go.
I have many things to do and see, do not bind me with your tears and let us thank God for the beautiful years we spent together.
You will think of the joy you showed me and the love I gave you.
But now, I have to fly alone.
If you have to grief, grief for a moment and let your faith in God comfort your pain.
We will only be apart for a little while, keep the memories in your hearts.
Life goes on, I won't be far.
If you need me, just think of me and I will be in each of you and you will feel the warmth of my love in your hearts.
And when it is your turn to fly towards these skies I will receive you with a big smile and I will tell you with open arms:
"WELCOME"!!!
With much love...
Benjamin Hugh Ryan.

Jayme, Hugh, Mason and Noah, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember teaching Mason in CCD and seeing you all at Mass. May the Lord bless you and keep you; May the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; and May the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.

Our very deepest and heartfelt sympathy to all of you. We may not be with you physically but we have been united with you in prayer since Benjamin was first diagnosed in the fifth grade. Emily and Eric Oxley asked us to begin joining them in prayer for your beloved son. We can´t even begin to imagine the grieve and exhaustion you must be feeling but please know how inspired we have been by your journey in faith and love. Just this morning, before we knew, we prayed your beautiful novena for Ben.
Please know our promise of continued prayers and our hope that only the BEST of memories may begin to fill the terrible void in your lives.
May the angels welcome and embrace a true saint to their midst!!

I cannot imagine anything harder to deal with than the loss of someone so young. Ben seems to have been quite the fighter and I can only hope that his loving memory gives you strength and helps your family find peace. May God grant you the strength and love you need at this time!
