I was shocked and very saddened to hear this news about Jerene. My daughter and I knew Jerene through her practice for nearly four years. She was a wonderful person and mentor and my daughter loved her dearly. My thoughts are with her son, Brendan, who she spoke about often and the rest of her family. She will be missed and we will remember her always.

When Jerene came into our extended family almost 50 years ago, she brought a freshness and free attitude we all appreciated. At university, she was free spirited and bright, a motorbike riding feminist before it was the norm.
Jerene was packed with so many talents: her artistic accomplishments were amazing. Her work as a highly skilled therapist changed the lives of so many. Of all these, and more, she was probably most proud of her role and success as a mom.
It was in the last ten years or so that Jerene and I became closer. We found so much in common in the fullness of our lives and our careers. Whether it was over a long luncheon date that stretched out over the bulk of a lazy afternoon, or a quiet summer evening at her cabin, our conversations ranged wide and long over life's questions big and small. We discussed philosophy, politics, art, and whatever else we would happen to think about during those wonderful precious times. Although we never got too specific, Jerene and I were in agreement that the spiritual experience in our own lives was a more of a path than a destination and a search rather than an arrival.
She will be in our hearts forever. Love, John and Jim

What a shock it was to read of Jerene's passing this morning. I am who I am today partly because of her. She had a great love and passion for her son, Brendon, and her animals, Bo, Chewy and Poo Bear. But she also had a great love and passion for her clients. Most of my family was blessed to have known Jerene in the last 20 years, and I was lucky to have knocked on her door weekly for the better of 16 years, then I passed her and her great wisdom on to my young daughter. Celisa and Jerene had a great bond from the beginning. She will be greatly missed!

Jerene is someone I hold close to my heart. I loved her dearly and I will miss her. It is with a heavy heart that I send my condolences to her son and her family. She took pride in a lot of things but nothing more than being a mother.
