Strawhecker, John Thomas

September 14, 1934 - February 28, 2023

Age 88, born in Omaha, and lived in Chicago IL, New York City area, and Andover, CT. Survived by daughter: Dr. Kristen McGregor and husband Adrian Mandeville (Andover, CT); brothers: Paul Strawhecker (Peggy Baumann), and Kurt Strawhecker (Kathy Laferla); and sister-in-law, Jackie Sullivan Strawhecker. Preceded in death by parents, Les and Leone Strawhecker; and brothers, Michael and Terry Strawhecker.

Graduated from Holy Name High School in 1952, attended the Colorado School of Mines, served in the US Army in Chicago, held a brokage seat on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (Chicago), as well as various positions in Chicago and New York. Moved to Andover, Ct to be with his daughter, Kris, and died peacefully in a nursing home. Tom loved photography, following finance, politics, and the news of the day.

A CELEBRATION of LIFE will be held in Omaha on Sunday, July 2, from 2-4pm at the Omaha County Club, 6900 Country Club Rd., Omaha NE 402-571-7777.
