Dearest Wuebbens,

I send you all my love from Berlin. You've all been in my thoughts and prayers for the past few weeks, Colleen especially.

One of the clearest memories of Colleen I had was when I was around 22 or 23. I had just gotten back from college, where I had been reading poetry day and night for most of my senior year. I remember going into the room above the garage, and finding a book of Robert Frost's poems on a chair. I opened the book and began reading to myself. Shortly there after Colleen came in and asked what I was reading. She pointed me to a poem of Frost's I had never read - and it had such an effect on me - the clarity and simplicity. It was not one of his most famous, and I don't know if I can even remember which one it was (great story Huerter - can we wrap this up!). But sure enough, something of Colleen showed through. There was a humility and grace in the poem that I found at once admirable and embarrassing.

My dad said that poetry was a big part of the service last night, and I am really happy to hear it. Colleen's love of poetry definitely found its way into Dan's life, which has had a big impact on not only the direction but also the content of mine as well.

I was happy to have had the chance to see her radiant smile one last at Dan and Eva's wedding.

Colleen's was a life worthy of one hell of a celebration. Do it up Wuebben style!

Love you all,

Colin

Ted and Family,

Word cannot convey the feelings and comapssion we send to all of you at the loss of your wife/Mother. Colleen is the closest person I have met to a saint. When you read the verse in First Corinthians chapter 13 vs 4-8 love is patient, love is kind. These beautiful words remind me so of Colleen.

In all things, she steadfastly trusted the lord.

Our deepest sympathy to all of you.. We will keep all of you and dear Colleen in our prayers.

I had so much respect her Colleen and how she led her fight against this awful disease! I only had two brief conversations with her although I thought of her often. She had such an impact on me with her grace and presence.

And I saw how she was so honored by her sweet husband. The unconditional love he showed to her was truly a gift for others to witness. God Bless your family..
