Getting to know Matt was a joy; he was always joking and sharing music, I even tried to show him how we Jamaicans dance! He caught a great video of a dolphin swimming up & down the seawall and shared it with us. RIP Matt, from "Rolls" Joyce.

I enjoyed Matt for the brief time I got to know him. He took the time to bring me sunset pictures, as I am bedridden and could only see so much. He kept finding things to do around the house - replaced the frayed cord in a cumbersome set of drapes, saved me a plumber's bill by loosening a stuck shut-off valve to a leaking toilet tank, pulled a small tree out of my gutter and more that I'm probably unaware of. He was a very unobtrusive house guest and I missed him as soon as he went back to Nebraska.

The greatest gift Matt gave me was to make the trek to Florida to visit in person in the end of January. After literally years of talking on the phone for hours, texting, sharing music clips, discussing the human condition etc. we finally had 2 glorious months of enjoying each others' company before the pains became too extreme. I was equally amazed at how he managed to keep up his work, help with several repairs around Mom's house, and then push through to return to Nebraska before the end. I will forever cherish our friendship.
