Words can't describe how saddened I was to learn of Chad's passing. He had so much to offer this world and did so everyday. The smile on Chad's face is just like it was when he was a student at Hilsman. My thoughts have been with Jocelyn, the children and the rest of the Paxson family, especially today as I am sure a huge crowd gathered to say goodbye. May everyone be as blessed as we are to have known a person as upstanding and truly just a great guy as Chad was and is. I know he will be watching over those of us who are saddened and he will have a huge smile as he watches his beautiful children continue to grow to be wonderful people just like him.

I did not know Chad, but worked with his mom, Karen, at St Mary's for many years. Our sons were close in age and we used to exchange stories about them. I was so shocked and saddened to hear about this great loss. He sounds like a wonderful young man who was loved by many and gave much of himself to make a difference in the lives of his students. I know you are proud of him for all he did in his short life. I hope reading all these wonderful things about Chad, especially from his students, gives you solace during this sad time. I can only imagine what it must be like to lose a precious son. In love and peace, I send my sincere sympathy to your family and loved ones.

Even though it was only middle school, I will never forget those practices after school. The sound of your whistle for breaks and the smile on your face that felt like it was there almost every minute of every hour. I will never forget the roughhousing we did in the hall way just because life with you was always fun. I will never forget the way you taught and joked around about history. But most of all I will never forget the feeling of the fact that when I was on that field you felt like a second father to me. You will always be in my heart Coach. Every single game I play from here on out will all be for you. Love you
