Lucille Betts Obituary

Watkinsville - Lucille Anthony Betts, age 86 of Watkinsville died November 18, 2004.
A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. E.N. Anthony and Jewell Lanier Anthony. The widow of William M. 'Bill' Betts, she received her Masters in Education Degree from the University of Georgia. She taught for many years in the Oconee County School System and later served several positions on the central office staff.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 pm Sunday at the funeral home. A private cryptside service will be held later.
Surviving are two daughters: Nancy Arnold of Lawrenceville and Marjorie Collins of Monroe, NC; two sons: Bell Betts of Augusta and John Betts of Watkinsville; a sister: Elma A. McGuire of Athens; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a sister: Hazel A. Hale.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to your favorite charity.
Arthur Bowick's Oconee Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
