What a man's man you were! You will be missed by all of the lives you have touched. Thank you for impacting mine in such a positive way. The lessons I learned from you are priceless. Thank you.

Hi Uncle Dave,
It's kind of awkward, thinking of what to say. I mean, my whole family calls me the writer, and here I am, unsure of myself and of what I should type here and now.
So, I suppose I should start with saying that I love you very, very much and that I'm always going to miss you. I'm going to miss your laugh and your jokes that always sent everyone into hysterics. I'm going to miss our Thanksgivings and Christmases together, too. I'm going to miss you sitting in your chair and petting Bella and talking to her. But most of all, I'm going to miss how you always would give me good advice and say "I love you."
So, I hope that in Heaven, every Thanksgiving, that you can help cook turkeys for God and everyone. And then when WE all see you up there, we'll be able to smile with you and laugh alongside you and eat those turkeys, too. It's comforting to know you're watching over us. I love you lots. (Sorry that my note is so long).
I love you, and so does my entire family!
