Harry Maloney Obituary

MALONEY, HARRY J., 89, of Tavares, devoted husband of Betty C. (Taylor) Maloney, died at his home on October 23rd. He was born in CT on November 21, 1913, son of the late James and Catherine (Sullivan) Maloney. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Army in the Pacific Theater. He later worked for C.L & P in Danbury, CT for 24 years. He was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Lakes Church in Eustis. He was a member of the B.P.O.E. #1578 in Eustis, and the American Legion, Post #76 in Tavares. Besides his wife of 61 years, he will be missed by his son Michael Maloney and Jeanine of NH; grandchildren, Matthew Maloney and Heather Abele; great grandchildren, Jackson, Erik and Claire Abele. He is also survived by a brother, William Maloney; sisters, Irene Lehn, and Kathleen Speer; as well as several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on October 29th, 10AM at St. Peter Church, Danbury, CT, with burial to follow in St. Peter Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made in the memory of Harry Maloney to Hospice Foundation of Lake & Sumter Inc., 12300 Lane Park Road, Tavares, Florida 32778-9972.
