John B. Wimbish

WIMBISH, JOHN B., 65, of Sanford, FL died on August 1, 2003 of leukemia. He was born in Savannah, Georgia on November 28, 1937. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn J. Wimbish of Sanford. He is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Judith, and his loving daughter, Melinda. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph Wimbish and sister-in- law Anita of Edgewater, his mother-in-law, Francine Taylor of Mims; six nieces and nephews; and many loving and kind friends. He was a devout and faithful member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church. He proudly served in the United States Army. He attended the University of Florida, received his BS in Business from Louisiana College and his MBA from Rollins College. He began his professional career with State Farm Insurance in 1965. He was a brother in Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, a member of Kiwanis Club, and on the Board of Directors of Bram Towers. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, visiting with friends, and was an avid Gator football fan. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2003 at Holy Cross Episcopal Church on the corner of Park Avenue and 4th Street in Sanford.
