Mike is a wonderful person who always had a smile on his face. He loved to play soccer in elementary school and junior high. I remember many "kick ball" games on either Cullen Lake Shore Dr. or on Monet. Mike grew up on the lake and rode bikes, climbed trees and walked through the woods that surrounded Lake Conway Estates, before there were other developments. Many times, Mike would join groups of kids who would gather to ride their bikes to the Shell Station and the Little General Store for candy in the summer. At 48, Mike was so very young and I know he will be greatly missed. I'm sorry I was not able to be at the funeral, but my thoughts and prayers are with his family.

To The Dutton Family: I am SO sorry for the tragic loss of Mike: son, father, friend... Although your hearts are broken in a million pieces right now, I hope that in the difficult days/months ahead, you'll find strengh & some kind of acceptance in all of this. I live next door to Rene & Dan and met Mike at one of their gatherings a couple of summers ago. Even we only spoke briefly, I remember Mike as being a kind, genuinely nice & likeable guy. I wish you peace in your journey. Pat

Mike,
Although I never had the chance to meet you, your beautiful children are testimony to the light of God in you. May we all find peace in knowing you have found that light once again. Though we shower this family in our prayers, please comfort them as best you can from that beautiful place where we will all meet again someday.

Words don't really cut it. I did not really know Mike at work, sat near him for a while. Having lost my dad last year I know it is not easy. Time heals, words help some. Wish I could offer the right words, just know others are there and you are not alone.

It is sad to have an ORHS brother leave us so early in life. All though we had not seen each other in a while it was a pleasure and honor to have known Mike. Our prayers go out to his family and especially his children as they are the future for all of us. I hope that you will live your life as your father did and always keep him in your heart, as that way he will always be with you.

Mike brightened the world while he was with us, and perhaps there is no more valuable gift that anyone can leave. It is with great sorrow that we say goodbye.

Mike is in a place of peace, health, and love now. Those words sound so cliche, but maybe they can bring some inkling of comfort to those who are in pain over his loss. What a beautiful letter to your dad, Caitlin. Mike's love for you, Maggie and Matthew is what he spoke of most. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who loved him.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. My mother Laurelle was Roy's cousin. I don't remember much about Mike, just that we played together a couple of times as kids when the family got together. I was so sorry to hear of his passing.

To the Dutton Family my family's prayers and thoughts are with you in this difficult time. I worked with Mike at Martin Marietta and CRC. I found him easy going and good to work with, he had a good sense of humor. He also had the capability for intense focus when it was required. I just want to offer my deepest sympathy and sorrow for the Dutton family and Michael's children.
