PAUL COOLEY Obituary

COOLEY, PAUL JOSEPH
Paul Joseph Cooley, 83, of Kissimmee, FL passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Stockland, IL on June 30th, 1927 and moved to Kissimmee in 1978 from Earl Park, IN. He was a farmer and a heavy equipment operator. Paul was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Kissimmee, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the 40 & 8 Club. Paul was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a great Santa Claus during the holidays traveling around his neighborhood bringing joy to many of the local boys and girls. He loved farming, gardening, garage sales, working on puzzles, and tinkering with lawnmowers. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Catherine
Davidson Cooley; brothers,
Norbert, Bernard, Kenny, and
David; sisters, Aletha and Helen; and two infant brothers; Paul is survived by his sons, Rex Davidson (Vanessa) of Kissimmee, Rick
Davidson (Laura) of Orlando,
Joseph Cooley of Kissimmee; daughters, Diana Alldredge of Phoenix, AR, Paula Cooley of
Lafayette, IN, Donna Davidson Dampier (Glen/Bubba) of Kissimmee; sisters, Rita Lundgren of Salt Lake City, UT, Rosemary Budreau of West Lafayette, IN, Ruthann Wolfe (Harvey) of West Lafayette, IN, Jan Flora (Carol) of Delphi, IN; sister-in-law, Lorraine Cooley of Watseka, IL, eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Services will be held by the Van Holt Memorial Funeral Home, 278 Main Street, Hanover, Indiana 47243, 812-265-5112 where the family will receive friends and have services to celebrate Paul's life. He will be laid to rest in the Mt. Zion
Cemetery in Painesville, IN. Contributions can be made to the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1603 N. Thacker Ave Kissimmee, FL 34741, in lieu of flowers. The family is being cared for locally by
