BENTON - Glenda "Sissy" Sue Myers, 75, of Benton, passed on Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, at her residence.
Born Wednesday, March 10, 1948, in Marshall County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Darnall and the late Bobbie (Noles) Darnall.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, often going to as many of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren's ballgames as she could. Sissy was an avid UK basketball fan and a member of Oak Level Church.
Glenda is survived by her daughter, Angie Skees, and husband Joey of Benton; son-in-law Craig Edwards of Benton; brothers, Jackie Darnall and wife Flora of Benton, Ricky Darnall of Benton, Jeff Darnall of Princeton, Allen Darnall of Benton, and Michael Darnall and wife Amy of Mayfield; sisters, Debbie Ford and husband Steve of Benton, Tracy Puckett and husband Darrell of Benton; grandchildren, Tyler Edwards and wife Brandi, Travis Edwards and wife Madison, Meagan York and husband Cory, and Allie Skees; and four great-grandchildren, Laegan Edwards, Kendall Edwards, Delcie York, and Shaw York.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 50 years Wendell "Bub" Myers, and daughter Robin Edwards.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at Collier Funeral Home with Rev. Kendrick Lewis and Rev. Danny Pruitt officiating.
Interment will follow in New Zion Cemetery, Benton.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at Collier Funeral Home.
