Hilda Wright Obituary
Hilda Wright, 90, of Paducah, passed away at 1:27 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Providence Pointe. She was born on June 3, 1935, in Salem, Kentucky.
Hilda retired from Bell South Telephone Company as a directory assistant. She was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church and the Telephone Pioneers. Hilda graduated from Salem High School.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Kelsee Henson of Elizabethtown; her caregivers, Bill Shannon and Wanda McIntosh; her nephew, Thomas Powell; and several cousins.
Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Norwood Wright; daughter, Kimberly "Kim" A. Henson; mother and step-father, Beatrice Doyle Kirk Powell, and Morris Powell; father, Lossie Ray Kirk; brother, Emmett Powell, and a special cousin, Patty Shannon.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741; or to Lone Oak First Baptist Church, 3601 Lone Oak Road, Paducah, KY 42001.
