Ralph Gene "Chip" Langford Jr.

December 31, 1963 – July 12, 2025
Ralph Gene Langford Jr., known to many as "Chip," passed away from natural causes on July 12, 2025, at the age of 61.
He was born in Palatka, Florida, and lived in Welaka. Chip worked in construction across Florida for most of his life and was passionate about carpentry.
He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, gardening, playing guitar, and listening to classic rock. He was a history enthusiast and loved watching documentaries about history and musicians. He also cared deeply about animals and his community, volunteering regularly with local Christian ministries and environmental efforts.
Chip was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Sr. and Dessie Langford; and his sister, Pam Goodson.
He is survived by his children, Troy Langford and Sabry Langford; his partner, Lucille Cronk; his sister, Nancy Mills; his brother, Roddy Hartung; and many extended family members.
There will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local animal shelter in his memory.
