John & Janis, my heart goes out to you and your loved ones. It isn't easy losing a parent, especially a mother. Being one of her many "children", I treasure the many, many memories I have of her. Not only was she a great mother, she is a special person that helped me be what I am today. She and your Dad taught us how to become scouts, love nature, love one another, have compassion for others and reach out to those in need. I can still see her smiling face standing in your kitchen in Belle Glade. I so looked forward to her Christmas cards to catch up on everything happening in our lives. I pray the peace of the Lord, will help ease your pain in the future. I truely am blessed to have had her in my life, as I do the two of you. May God Bless You and give you peace, until we meet again. I know your mother is up in heaven with our Mom watching down on us thinking...what are those kids getting into now! I Love You Both!!

Janis & John, What I am feeling right now is hard to put into words. I am filled with sorrow of the passing of Aunt Betty. As you know she was a 2nd. Mother to me, I loved her so much and will miss her terribly! I rejoice with the knowledge that she is at peace now and with our lord and savior. She is with mom and they are having a wonderful reunion! Aunt Betty was a wonderful person! I have so many fond memories. I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers, and hope to contact you soon. Love, Gayle

To Janis & John - With Doug having grown up with you and my knowing Janis from Scouting and then working with Betty at Glades General for all those years, we wanted to express our condolensces. Having just lost my mom in September, I keenly feel your pain. Hospice was wonderful - we pray they were for you, too. Take care...

Betty was my friend, my Mother-in law and Mother in love. I learned so much from her and loved her. She listened when we talked to each other and never judged me. I miss her very much but I know she is at peace and no longer is in pain. "I love you Mom, and I miss you".
