Carolyn Murrell Obituary

CAROLYN GATES WILKINS MURRELL Carolyn Gates Wilkins Murrell was born on September 1, 1951 in West Palm Beach to the late Eugenia Gates and Herbert James. Carolyn attended Palm Beach County schools where she graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1969. On Friday, May 30, 2003, the Lord called her home to rest and free her from the pain and sfering she had encountered. Her special friend, Willie Blackwell, preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish fond and never-forgotten memories two daughters: Joan Wilkins Carruthers, WPB, and Kathalyn Wilkins, RB; four grandchildren: Canton Carter, LaJoan Petitfrere, Jon French, Jr., and Scott Barnes, WPB; two sisters: Edith Williams, RB, and Frankie Gerald, WPB; three brothers: Lester Gates, Albany, GA, Eugene Gates (Patricia), WPB, and Burnett Gerald (Denna), Long Beach, CA; devoted cousin, Saundra Allen, RB; uncles: Frank Bates, Jr., WPB, and Bernard Hayes, Savannah, GA; aunts: Barbara Bates, Delores Marshall (Fred), Dorothy Butler, and Evelyn Cook (Jonell) of Gainesville, FL; special friends: Jonathan Barrow, Mrs. Willie Mae Blackwell, and Pricilla Daniels; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Viewing will be held on Friday, June 6, 2003 5 - 8 PM at Royal Palm Funeral Home. Funeral Services will held on Saturday, June 7, 2003 at Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church at 1:00 PM.
