It is with tremendous sadness to address the sudden passing of beloved son, cherished brother, and dear friend, Christopher David Burkhardt on March 9, 2015. Born April 30, 1988 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Chris grew up in Delray Beach, Florida. He is predeceased by his grandparents George and Virginia Bass. He is survived by his loving mother, Laura Bass-Malin, father, Ronald Burkhardt and sisters Samantha and Katherine Burkhardt. After graduating from Spanish River class of 2006, Chris attended Trident Technical College in Charleston, South Carolina. Chris spent his summers in the family home in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, which he loved dearly. Christopher was the sweetest, kindest, person to anyone who knew him. His huge smile and infectious laugh echoes in all the minds of his family and friends. Chris' compassion for others and need for love was his driving force. A memorial service will be held March 21, 2015 on the north end of Delray Beach at 5:00PM pm. A marked car will signify the beginning of the meeting place off A1A.

My dear, old friend,
In looking for your current phone or address, this is not what I wanted to find. I remember when your precious Christopher was born. We were still sharing highs and lows, joy and sorrow back then. We were quite the pair.
It is with the fondest of memories and the sincerest of condolences that I think of you today. I am sorry for your loss. It sounds so shallow, so easy to express yet, it is from my heart.
You may or may not receive this. I will look for a number or address for you. My husband, Jim, and I are moving to Palm City; not far at all for two, old friends. I hope you will consider
a reunion. I would so love to see you again.

We send you our deepest sympathy on the loss of your son. Ironically our last name is Burkhardt and we lost our son unexpectedly less than 2 years ago. We have a book of daily readings that has been most helpful. It is called "healing after loss" and I would like to send you one if you would like.
