Family-Placed Funeral Notice

EDWARD J. ÒTedÓ SHEWAN 43, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Larksville, PA, went to be with our Lord January 21, 2004. Knowing Ted's struggle with cancer, our dear Lord in His mercy and love, called Ted to be with Him 6:05 PM Wednesday evening. The prayers, kind words and support of friends throughout have helped and are appreciated immeasurably; thank you. Ted was born April 27, 1960 in Plymouth, PA, son of the late Edward B. and Joyce Gregory Shewan. He was a graduate of West Side Tech High School; but attended both Valley West and West Side Tech High Schools, where he excelled at sports, especially football. He was formerly employed by Farmer & Irwin, Riviera Beach, and attended Calvary Chapel, Jupiter. He is survived by his daughter, Brittany of Shavertown, PA; sisters: Brenda Jordan of Larksville, PA, and Joyce Ann Fox of Plains, PA; niece and nephews; and his fiancŽe and stepson, Debra and Ross Pape, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Funeral services will be held Friday evening (TONIGHT) from the Frederick & Snowdon Funeral Home, 617 Carey Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. Interment will be Saturday in Memorial Shrine Cemetary, Carverton, PA. Ted held a special place in his heart for children, homeless persons, and animals. Those who wish may make a memorial contribution to their choice of children's organization, animal rescue/shelter, or homeless shelter/support organization; or to Jupiter Christian School, 1300 Mohawk Street, Jupiter, FL 33458, where Ted enjoyed many hours as a volunteer coach for intramural sports. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
