Jean MARSH Obituary

MARSH, Jean Rae 1928-2018 Jean Rae (Staab) Marsh, passed December 9, 2018 at the age of 90. She was born in the former Spencer Hospital to Robert and Gwenith Staab. She was a graduate of St. Agatha's High School in 1945. She married Earl Marsh of Linesville, PA on June 28, 1947. She was an avid golfer and was one of the first women to have a hole-in-one at the Meadville Country Club. Jean worked for over 20 years at Meadville Public Library as bookkeeper. Jean and Earl moved to Florida in 1993, and she retired to live at Atria Senior Living in Florida in 2014. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 17, 2018 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1701 Indian Creek Parkway Jupiter, FL 33458. In addition to the Florida funeral mass, a second memorial service will be held in Meadville, Pennsylvania in early summer. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Earl H. Marsh and her brother, Robert W. Staab, both of Meadville, PA. Jean is survived by her five children, Linda (Robert) Jannot of Spindale, NC; Karen (Paul) Tagliaferri of Aurora IL; Douglas (Patricia) Marsh of Meadville, PA; Eric Marsh and Sheri Polley, of Conneaut Lake, PA; and Gregory (Kristin) Marsh of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jason Jannot, Nicole (Jannot) Estes, Lisa (Tagliaferri) Kauk, Keith Tagliaferri, Jenna (Marsh) DiNatale, William Marsh, and Caitlin Marsh. Jean is also survived by eight great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Meadville Public Library, 848 N Main Street Meadville, PA 16335.
