Family-Placed Obituary

Margaret Nina McKinnon McKinnon, Margaret Nina, a local resident since 1993, formerly of Southern California, the Los Angeles area, passed away in Boca Raton on Friday, January 2, 2009. Margaret leaves one son, David, many nieces and nephews. She was born on March 2, 1918 in North Dakota, resided there until 1932 when with her family moved to the Boston, Massachusetts area. She finished her education there and married Murdock McKinnon and raised a family. In 1955, her husband was offered a promotion and they moved to the Los Angeles area. After her husband passed away, she moved to Florida to be near her son, David. Mrs. McKinnon was a member of West Boca Presbyterian Church, a 50 year member of Eastern Star, a volunteer for many organizations in Southern California including the Meals on Wheels program, retired volunteer program, and was active in many church activities. A memorial service will be held at 5:00pm on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at West Boca Presbyterian Church-22500 Hammock St.; Boca Raton. She will be laid to rest at Rose Hills Cemetery in California.
