An appropriate way to describe Bob Feltzin in one sentence is the following:
To his innumerable friends, Bob Feltzin was always a true mensch.

I don't think that I can do better than what Sharon and I wrote at the time of Bob's passing, which I will copy below

Just a few of Bob Feltzin's exemplary qualities were kindheartedness, loyalty to friends, being a marvelous parent, optimism, excellent judgment, high intelligence, and bravery. In brief, Bob was a true mench, a yiddish word meaning a person of integrity and honor. We are proud to have been his friends.

Bob will always be remembered with affection and respect by all who knew him. He had a kind heart, a wonderful sense of humor, and a deep concern for people he knew well and for those around him. He was a great builder. I still think of the day he stopped by our bouse after Hurricane Andrew to see if we were okay. He had lost his house that day but took the time to check on other people he knew. He was a unique and sweet man. He is missed.

My condolences to the Feltzin family, I am saddened by your loss. Memories of Bob and the entire family flooded my my mind this morning as I read the obit. I thought mainly about my introduction to Miami, after graduate school, as the new athletic trainer/teacher, at Palmetto, back in 1985. The support and guidance offered to me by Bob, on so many occasions, is something that I still cherish after 26 years! To his family, I sincerely hope that you find solace in the remembrance of better days. Experience great pride for the man who did so much for so many and lead, with his wife by his side, such a wonderful family.
