VERONICA MARIE SALSBURY Veronica Marie Salsbury of Delray Beach, FL passed away on September 3, 2011. A graduate of Northern State Teachers College, Marquette, MI. "Ronnie" was an outstanding and dedicated teacher for many years in Ann Arbor, MI and later in Pittsburgh, PA. She taught in London, England as part of the Fulbright Exchange Program from 1960 to 1961. Ronnie began playing piano at age five and after training in piano and voice, developed a special love of the arts - classical music, opera, ballet and theatre. A talented pianist, she enjoyed playing when family and friends gathered. Ronnie and her dear husband, Richard, spent many years as active members of Fox Chapel Country Club in Pittsburgh. She was also an active member of First Church of Christ in Pittsburgh and attended First Church of Christ Scientist in Delray Beach. She was preceded in death by beloved husband, Richard Lyon Salsbury; parents Myron and Laura Hughes, and sister Phyllis A. Frickelton. Those left to cherish her memory are brothers Charles M. and Raymond A. Hughes, and sisters Delores (Martin) Arden, Patricia Copps, Kathleen Rothe and Sally (Wiliam) Netzer. She is also survived by step daughters Pamela Pearce and Sarah Diehl. Lorne & Sons Funeral Home of Delray Beach entrusted with arrangements. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
