Family-Placed Funeral Notice

DR. VIVIAN ELSON SANDLER Dr. Vivian Elson Sandler, 71, of Jupiter, FL died Saturday morning of leukemia in her home surrounded by family. Vivian held a doctorate in education from Columbia University. She had a long and distinguished career as an educator of special needs children and as a college professor. Vivian was born in Brooklyn, NY, and enjoyed her retirement in Jupiter, rarely missing an evening of theater or music. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, her memory will be cherished by her husband of 53 years, Emile, sister Beatrice Bushell, children Andrew and Karen, Eric and Marcy, Craig and Natalie, 10 wonderful grandchildren, Karna, Jenna, Michael, Alyssa, Jake, Ethan, Ari, Justin, Sarit, and Elan, special niece Cheryl Lutsky, and devoted family and friends. Vivian was active in many local charities and community affairs. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:30 pm at Menorah Gardens Cemetery Chapel 9321 Memorial Park Road, West Palm Beach. Donations in memory of Vivian may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL, 33407.
