Carolyn (Kay) Diane Abbott

August 28, 1946 - September 26, 2024

Born to Charles and June Treadway in Decatur, IL. Kay spent most of her life in Bloomington, IL with her husband Wayne and their two kids, Liann & Brian. She worked at St. Joseph Medical Center and for McLean County Museum of History. Kay was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing piano, sewing, reading and time spent with family and friends. Kay was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years and is survived by both children.

A service will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.

I went to school with Kay since grade school at Roach in Decatur, through high school at Eisenhower. We had a 60th reunion recently and I heard of her death then. I am so saddened and will miss her sweet spirit. My condolences to you all. She loved her family and will be missed.

Kay was a part of out group of Mom's that met at momma Marcie's every morning, after our kids would get on the bus. I have fond memories of her quick Witt. My sincere sympathy , Liann and Brian. Love from all the Laesch's Love Diane
