Darlyne Holley

1942 - 2025

Darlyne Kay Holley was born in Macomb, Illinois, on October 16,1942 to Rev. Jesse M. Goodhheart and Elsie M. Goodheart. She grew up in Bloomington, IL. and graduated from Bloomington High School. Darlyne had a brother, David Goodheart from Chicago, IL. and a sister, Mary Jo Hart from Florida. On May 20th, 1962, Darlyne married the love of her life, Charles (Chuck) Holley. Chuck & Darlyne were married for 63 years, living in the Quad Cities and then retiring in Scottsdale AZ. Darlyne was an avid runner with many trophies to show for it. Races included the Bix 7, Silvis, Chicago and others. She served as president of Women's Aglow for several years in the Quad City area. Darlyne was a devout Christian, who played piano and organ throughout the years at her home church. She was known and loved for her kind, caring and generous heart. She was a loyal friend and a "cheerleader" for anyone needing help and encouragement. She loved her pets dearly and enjoyed walking them around the neighborhood. Those who were privileged to know Darlyne were blessed with a precious friend and she will be profoundly missed.
