I just did a search on Ed and found this. We were very good friends through junior high and high school. I moved away from Normal in 81'. I'm very sad now and may his family be blessed and comforted.

Sorry for your loss. He was a joy to have in my cub scout Den. Craft time I had to have two for him because he would always finish way before everyone else. I rode my first horse at their house. They invited the whole Den. We had a ball.
He will be missed by all who knew him.

"Good morning", we could count on him beating one of us to the punch. Ed saw you, it didn't matter who you were or what you did at Bromenn. He laughed, joked or spoke to you. His genuine, gentle spirit will be missed. We send our sincere condolences to the Boyer family.

Ed was an integral part of Bromenn for as long as I can remember. He always brightened my day when I saw him. He had a great sense of humor and we would always give each other a "hard time" Then I had the pleasure to work wit his son Tyler in the ED and still get to see him when he comes to fix things at CC. I am praying for the whole family as you grieve together and share all the great memories you have all shared. Ed is in Heaven now where there is no more having to fix anything

I came to know Ed after the passing of my favorite volunteer Ken when I saw him playing guitar at Ken's funeral. I hadn't realized that Ed and Ken were friends. Learning this gave me comfort since Ed had played for Ken at his bedside in ICU. Ed and I both started at BroMenn decades ago but he worked day shift while I worked PM's. Every time I passed him after the funeral I felt a connection and a nice reminder of our mutual friend. I was sad and shocked to read of Ed's passing and my heart goes out to his family. May they be comforted by memories of what a caring compassionate man he was.

I am sorry for your loss. Our lives have been intertwined. My dad worked with Edward Sr. I went to school with Kathy. Then in 2014 Edward III was our amazing hospice nurse when my mom passed away. I appreciate all you have meant to our family and will pray for God´s peace and comfort for all of you.
