Russell Mount

Russell Mount, 83 passed away after a long illness on June 7, 2005 in Paradise, CA.
He was a Paradise resident since 1974. Russell was born January 8, 1922 in Sharon Springs, KS to Earle and Florence Mount. He graduated from Kansas State University. He was the first Pharmacist to join the Mangrove Medical Group in Chico, CA in 1961. Mr. Mount owned Mangrove Pharmacy and Willows Rexall Pharmacy until retiring in 1978. After retiring as a Pharmacist, Mr. Mount worked in real estate. Mr. Mount served in the Army Air Force during WWII as a nose gunner on B24 airplanes. Mr. Mount was a member of the Chico Elks Lodge and enjoyed his cabin in the mountains, taking great pleasure in small stream trout.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son, James Douglas Horner, brother, William Earle Mount, sister, Edda Elizabeth Cook, favorite aunt, Ester Mount and Niece, Linda Marie Dye.
He is survived by his wife, Euba Arlene Mount, son, William Russell Mount, brother, George Edward Mount, sister, Clarissa Roseltha Bowman, Grandsons, James Craig Horner and wife, Shirley Ann Horner, Mark Allen Horner and wife, Debra Mae Horner, nephews, George Edward Mount, Jr. Helmut Picerkona, Daniel Earle Mount, William Michael Cook and Nieces, D'Anna Mount Ely and Kathy Roseltha Dennis.
Visitation will be Friday, June 10, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. until noon at Rose Chapel Mortuary.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 10, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose Chapel Mortuary.
There will be a reception immediately following burial at Paradise Cemetery.
