Alvasyne Pace, 78, born on May 5, 1939 in Dumas, Texas went to be with her Lord on April 29, 2018. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Claude Pace, children Keith and Kay-Ruth Pace, Karen Poland and Larry and Sharon Pace. Nana Alvasyne is survived by her 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Alvasyne's grandchildren include Kourtney and Glenn Goody and Korey Pace, Kayse Poland, Jayme Poland, Ally Poland, Kaitlyn Pace and Brayden Pace. Alvasyne's great grandchildren are Charlotte and Olivia Goody. Alvasyne was preceded in death by her parents Albert Hay and Winnie Bryant. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at SouthPark Funeral Home in Pearland Texas. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 11:00 AM at South Main Baptist Church 4300 East Sam Houston Pkwy S., Pasadena, TX. 77505. Burial will follow after service at SouthPark Cemetery.

Yesterday they had a program on homemade ice cream. That reminded me of the times we had such a great time eating ice cream at your home. Sarah and I miss visiting with you and Claude.

I will always cherish the memory of my dear, sweet mother-in-law. She was a kind, gentle, fun-loving woman who championed everyone in her family. I'm thankful and confident that I will see you again, Alvasyne!
