Billy Glenn "Bill" Collett, 76 of Baytown, Texas passed away June 2, 2013. Bill was a Gospel preacher for 52 years. Most recently preached for the Broadway Church of Christ of La Porte, TX. Bill began preaching in San Diego, California when he was 24 years old while proudly serving in the U.S. Navy. Bill is survived by his wife of 56 years Gloria Shaw Collett of Baytown, Texas; two daughters Kathy Cunningham and husband Mark of Pasadena, Texas, Tricia Hatfield and husband Seth of Houston, Texas; son Glenn Collett and wife Linda of Tampa, Florida; brother Lonnie Collett; seven grandchildren Julie and husband Derek, Greg, Selina, Courtney, Matthew, Clayton, Delaney; one great grandchild Ethan; and many friends and family. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, Bill will be missed. We love you. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, July 6 at Southside Church of Christ, 4110 Preston Ave, Pasadena. Interment Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday at Deer Park Funeral Directors.

Our dear Gloria:
Shirley and I send our love to the Collette family, and thankful to know Bill and Gloria while they labored in the Lord's kingdom. He will be missed by many, but there is a great day coming when we all will be united with Christ and faithful gospel preachers forever.
