Boyce Lee Partridge was called to his heavenly home on October 27, 2015 at the age of 82. He was born in Amity, Arkansas, on December 2, 1932, the seventh of ten children. He graduated from Amity High School, and enrolled in Ouachita Baptist College in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. While attending Ouachita Baptist College, Boyce married his high school sweetheart, Ann Denton. For 64 years Ann never left his side. They moved to Houston in 1952 for work, and Boyce transferred to the University of Houston. The next year, Uncle Sam called him to the Army. For four years he and Ann traveled together to Alabama, Oklahoma and even to Germany. After the service, Boyce and Ann moved to Waco, Texas, where he worked and attended Baylor University. He graduated in 1960, a proud Baylor Bear. In 1962, the young couple moved back to Houston and adopted their only child, John Mark Partridge. Boyce loved playing baseball with his son, starting when John was only four years old, and was overjoyed when John was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers and named an alternate for the U.S. Olympic baseball team. Boyce loved being a father, and was extremely proud of his son. Boyce's parents, two sisters, three brothers, and son John predecease him. He is survived by his loving wife, Ann; his two sisters and two brothers; his granddaughter, Ashleigh Painter and her husband Danny; his granddaughter, Emilee Partridge and his great-grandson, Graham McPeek; and many nieces and nephews. The family held a private family memorial celebration of his life in Houston on November 1st. Thank you to everyone for the love and warmth you brought to Boyce's life.
