Clara Mae Moss, longtime resident of Pasadena, TX, passed away Tuesday, February 5th, due to complications of a fall. Services will be held Friday, February 8th, at Grandview Funeral Home on Spencer Highway at 12:30 PM. Visitation will be Thursday evening. Clara Mae is preceded in death by husband, Owen J Moss and daughter, Eileen Lawson. Survived by her brother Francis Arthur Neely, Jr., of Pearl, MS, sister Marie McAllister of Natchez, MS, daughter Mary Jane Plott of Pearland, Wofford Plott of Friendswood, Nancy and Kevin Smith of Pasadena, Patricia and Jody Colbeck of Santa Fe, Troy and Lisa Plott of San Antonio, Patisu Plott of Pearland, 9 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She and her husband owned O.J.'s Drive in Pasadena from 1952 to 1961. She was a charter member of Richey Street Baptist Church for over 50 years. She taught 5th grade at Freeman Elementary School from 1977 - 1982 in Pasadena. Some of her hobbies included cooking, gardening, playing board games, arts and crafts, sewing, teaching, and playing the harmonica. She enjoyed being with people, truly loved her family and was very involved in church. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 7, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home. Services will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013, at 12:30 p.m. in The Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park. Mrs. Moss was truly an inspiration to everyone she met. She was a wonderful Christian lady that brought a smile to everyone's face.
Having her and Mr. Moss as neighbors was a great influence on my life. She will truly be missed.
