Like so many others who have written here, I too looked forward to visiting Uncle Curtis & Aunt Bunnie in Arkansas with my sweet grandmother, Martha Lou (Ludie) and visiting them after they moved to Texas. Uncle Curtis was so interesting to listen to with his wonderful stories. He was always so kind and genuine. All the Burfords have a special way of connecting with people...such great memories of this beautiful family! Our sympathy and prayers go out to Bunnie, Judy & family! Love y'all,

Saddened to hear the passing of Uncle Curtis. I looked forward to visiting with him and Bunnie at their home in Arkansas as a child when we would travel to the "country". I will miss his wonderful stories. I will never forget the time he and Doris traveled to Minnesota in January to visit my grandmother "Jack" while she was in the nursing home. Curtis and I had a great time! Love you Curtis!

I was saddened to learn of Mr. Burford's passing. He would often stop in at City Hall to visit with those he knew. He would stop and visit with me and he was always such a joy to talk with. He was always so sweet. I will miss seeing him here.

Uncle Curtis was so special. I will miss his stories, his humor, and his spirit. And I am so proud to have had him as my uncle. I am also so happy that my husband had a chance to meet him before he passed. He has heard so many stories about him! I send lots of love to Bunnie.

As a former submariner, we had many interesting conversations about the Navy. C.A. is one of the last real heroes in my book. I'll surely miss him.
