Doris Donatto Obituary

Doris Jane Donatto, 87 of Deer Park, Texas was born May 10, 1934 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Jackson and Eunice (Starnes) Overcash. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 surrounded by her loving daughters. She enjoyed being with her family traveling, going to North Carolina in the fall and road trips to the mountains. She also enjoyed water aerobics, swimming and going to bible study. She retired from the banking industry at the age of 55. She was also a member of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Thompson; Janice Vyoral and husband, Peppie; Linda Barnett and husband, Steve; she was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister, Diana Edwards from Pineville, North Carolina. Doris is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Raymond Donatto of 23 years and Emmett Whittenton of 18 years; and her sister, Dolores Swann. A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm with a rosary being recited at 6:30pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00am, Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church with burial following at Grand View Memorial Park/ Bethany Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Peppie Vyoral, Steve Barnett, Dustin Vyoral, Cody Vyoral, Ray Curry and Kenneth Perkins with Vance Vyoral, Lane Vyoral, and Maverick Perkins as honorary pallbearers.
