Back down the river across the canyon of time he is a shining example of what a state representative can be if he acts responsibly and cares for anyone beyond himself.

I was in New Zealand when Ed passed. I found out about his death upon my return to the US day before yesterday. Ed and my father went to Anahuac High School together and was a good friend to my family.. He was fond of telling folks that he knew me when I was just twinkle in my father's eye. Ed always respected the working man in every field of endeavor. I respected him, looked up to him, knew him as a friend and will miss him greatly. I regret I wasn't here to express my sympathy to his sisters and family at his passing. Rest in Peace Old Friend.

If the company doctor couldn't help you, Ed would make arrangements for you to visit Scott-White, John Sealy, Houston Medical Center and TIRR. If you didn't have a ride, he'd take you, himself. And if you still didn't get well, Ed continued to call and visit. We have lost a friend. He is missed.
Love to the family from the family of Bill and Alvie Polson.

Ed was a valued friend whom I got to know well during those election years when we were campaigning along side one another. He was a valued public servant, an honorable man. Godspeed Ed Watson. Mike Driscoll, Houston,Texas

He was a fine man, a great help to me as a young lawyer, a good friend as I added some years, always happy and smiling, just like the picture. I will miss him.

I served Representative Watson as a Legislative Aide during his time in the House of Representatives.
Kind, caring, patient and wise are only a few of the words I would use to describe this very special man who I learned so much from.

As a journalist, I met Ed Watson while writing a story on his beloved Wheelhouse in Deer Park. After knowing Ed for a while and writing several stories on him, including one on his ninetieth birthday, I can say, he was truly a gentleman and a friend to all who knew him. God Bless you Ed.
