Edward S. Shaw

Ed Shaw, 92, of Bridge City, passed away on April 11, 2021 in Port Arthur.

Born in Talladega, Alabama, on June 16, 1928, he was the son of John Shaw and Mamie (Lybrand) Shaw. Ed proudly and honorably served in the United States Army Air Force and went on to work as a maintenance foreman at Dupont for over 30 years. One of his favorite things was to enjoy his fireplace. Ed also enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He was known as "Pawpaw" to his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Margaret "Marge" Shaw; parents, John and Mamie Shaw; and son, Robert Shaw.

He is survived by his children, Eddie Shaw and wife Annette of Orange, Carolyn Hunt and husband Alan of Arlington, Debbie Arvesen of Arlington, Phyllis Shaw also of Arlington, Charlie Warner and wife Karen of Bridge City, Jim Shaw and wife Nancy of Houston, and Sharon Shaw of Cypress; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Ed will be held privately for his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association at 5508 Highway 290 West Suite 206, Austin, Texas. 78735.

I can still remember Mr. Shaw at our baseball practices from little league to high school and his sons, Jim and Robert being the best all a round players on our team...R. I. P.... Vic
