Happy Birthday, Daddy! I miss having you here to call and wish a Happy Day! I will miss you celebrating your birthday with Kyle's....the first one in 18 years! You are the most amazing man ever! You were my best friend, my disciplinarian, the one who truly took care of me, the one I always knew that I could count on! I hope you are celebrating with mom and maw-maw, paw-paw and Uncle Slick. I know that you are happy to be reunited after so long. I love you so much and I miss you more than ever. My heart breaks everyday, but I know that you are feeling wonderful and you are happy again! I love you, daddy. Keep watching over us! I can't wait to feel your hug again someday!

Metta and I share your grief and longing. We both were honored by Francis' friendship for nearly 30 years and we were honored to be with the family at the moving services. I had an opportunity to honor Francis at an industry event last week and I was impressed but not surprised by the positive reaction to my small tribute. My friend was loved by many and he deserved it.

My daddy and I.....a very special relationship!!!!

I love you, daddy! I miss you so much. I wish you were here with me right now. I wish that I could hear your voice, asking, "how's my baby?" It has been so hard without you, but I do have some comfort knowing that you are feeling great, walking straight and dancing the jitterbug with mom. Give her a great big hug for me. Let her know how much I miss her, too. I love you both with all of my heart. I will talk to you again someday!

To the family of Francis, I want you to know that he was one of my supervisors at Young & Co. in the early 80's and it did not take long for me to realize that he was a man of great integrity. I highly respected and admired him.
