Edward Gary Clark, age 68 of Baytown Texas formerly of Houston Texas went to be with his heavenly Father on July 16, 2012. He was born April 21, 1944 in Houston, Texas to Leona Royalty and Paul Henry Clark. Along with Leona he was raised by his beloved stepfather Paul H. Truesdale. Gary was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, family member and friend who will be greatly missed. He was a skillful craftsman and a successful businessman. He was a member of the Beaumont Baptist Place Church of Houston, Tx. He was a master fisherman who loved and enjoyed both hunting and fishing with his family and friends. Family was extremely important to him. He also loved to garden and was proud to share his harvest each season with family and friends. Gary was survived by his loving wife and caregiver of 51 years, Judy Clark. Their marriage exemplified the covenant of marriage and true love. He is also survived by his daughter, Stephanie Rushing and husband William Penn, son, Jody Clark and wife Ana; daughter, Kimberly Rather and husband Dody; mother, Leona C. Royalty. Also left to grieve are his grandchildren; Garrett & Joshua Lenderman, Naomi Clark, Zachary & Elizabeth Rather, Christian Clark, Wesleigh Rushing, Annika & Kurt Clark. Six great-grandchildren; Maci, Keaton, Alexa, Harley, Brynlee & Zaidyn and many nieces & nephews. He was loved deeply like a brother by all of his brother and sister in laws and their spouses. He was preceded in death by his son, Kurt Edward Clark; father Paul Henry Clark; step father, Paul H. Truesdale, brothers Leon and Steve, sister Brenda, nephew, Bill Reid; niece, Molly Cowart; mother and father in law, Hilda & Pete Gilmore. A celebration of his life was held on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Rosewood Funeral Home in Pasadena, Texas.
