I worked at LaPorte site with Gary for many years. I was in the Army and we discussed doing the same type of duties. I was always impressed with his successes. I was shocked when a fellow worker told me what had happened. Always meant to visit him but was always too busy. He was so easy going and friendly to me, I teased him and he would play along. I shall miss him.
