George Edward Sears, 74, born August 2, 1939, in Shreveport, LA. passed away peacefully January 30, 2014, in Deer Park, TX.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Lester Sears; by his mother, Aubyn Lee Loy; and by his brother, Charles A. Sears.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Iwona J. Sears; by his sons, Charles W. Sears and wife Heidi, Wesley G. Sears and wife Cindy; by his daughter, Twila J. Daniel and husband Charles; by his granddaughters, Amanda Weiberg and husband Zach, Kayla Ellis and husband Jason, and Haley A. Sears; by his grandsons, Charles W. Middick, Austen C. Middick, and Hayden W. Sears.
George's life and legacy has touched an abounding number of people's lives with the illustration of his outgoing, loving, and generous spirit. He loved and cherished his family more than words could ever express, but most of all he was devoted to the Lord and all the Lord's Church and everything that it stands for. George will be remembered not only as a pillar in the Lord's Church, a loving husband, father, good friend, and amazing grandfather but also for the way he always was able to make people laugh and feel so loved.
Funeral service was held at 10 am, Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Rosewood Funeral Home Chapel, Pasadena, TX, and burial followed at Grand View Memorial Park, Pasadena, TX.
