Hazel Marie Cheshire, 87, moved to Heaven on May 16, 2013, but the gates of memory never close. Hazel was born on January 14, 1926 in Evergreen, Louisiana but lived most of her life in Pasadena, TX.
Her primary role was that of a loving wife and mother. Hazel lived an honorable Christian life for her children and grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Travis Cheshire. Hazel is also survived by her loving son, George Cheshire and wife Connie. Further surviving Hazel are her grandson Corbey Cheshire and granddaughter Stacy Cheshire Jeter and her husband Tommy and great grandchildren, Luke and Lana Grace Jeter.
Hazel loved French cooking and enjoyed time with friends in the "Red Hat Society", and Hazel was a devoted member of South Main Baptist Church.
Services for Hazel will be Monday May 20, 2013 at 10 o'clock am at South Main Baptist Church at 4300 East Sam Houston Parkway in Pasadena with Dr. Ron Lyles officiating. Burial will be on Sunday May 19, 2013 at 11 o'clock am in Rest Haven Cemetery in Jacksonville, Texas, under the direction of Rosewood Funeral Home.

I did not know Hazel, but I think we live in the house that her and her family lived in in their early years in Pasadena. My parents were from Louisiana and I was their first child born here in 1958. My prayers are with the family, may God comfort them. Mishaine Menger
