A voice always heard, James Alfred Bryan Jr., "Pete" as he was known to most, went to be with our Lord on September 9, 2017. Living a full and wonderful life serving the Lord with all his strength, born in Borger, Texas, February 17, 1936, given the nickname "Pete" by an older neighbor seeing his father in him. Loving husband, father and grandfather, not only to his children but all others, He and his wife resided in Mission, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife Rosalinda Bryan of Mission, Texas, his brother Curtis "Tony" Bryan of Baytown, Texas, two sons, Leslie Bryan and wife Denise of Deer Park, Texas, James (Jimmy) Bryan III and wife Cheryl of Anahuac, Texas; His Step-Daughter Patricia Summers and husband Michael of Edinburg, Texas. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Nicole Bryan Garvis and husband Alex Garvis, Michael Bryan and wife Alicia, Rebecca Bryan, Nicholas Bryan, Jayson Bryan, Sarah Summers, Jack Summers and Samuel Summers, along with four great grandchildren Hope Butler, Alexa Bryan, Chase Bryan and Griffinn Bryan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Parents James A Bryan Sr. and Jessie Rebecca Bryan of Bernice, Louisiana, and Brother David A. Bryan and wife Mary Bryan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Service times will be Tuesday, September 12, 2017, with visitation between 12-1 and service to follow at 2pm. Service will be held at Funeraria del Angel located at 3611 Taylor Rd, Mission, TX 78573 with burial to follow. The family wishes to thank the staff of Amara Hospice in Edinburg, Texas.
